My friend and I were trying to arrive to the Wells Cultural Center. To keep it short let's just say it took 45 minutes to arrive to the Center, when it should have taken 10.

The monks would work for a bit and then sit back. Perhaps to inspect their work. Later, I found out that the coordinator from the Tippecanoe Arts Federation had asked the monks to complete the mandala by Friday/Saturday to allow for the most exposure to the community. I imagine this could also be another reason for their breaks while working.

The monks would use two identical metal rods to lay the sand on the painting. They would use one rod to hit the other rod coaxing the sand out.
